DIY Cute string crossbody bag / How to make a bag bottom

String Crossbody Bag DIY | Innovative Base Sewing Technique

I’ll show you how to make a string crossbody bag with a twist.
The highlight of this video is an innovative way to sew the bag’s base,
making it sturdy and professional-looking.

I used a D-ring and hook to attach a strap and use it as a crossbody bag.

If you make the bottom of the bag in a new way,
you can make a new shape of the bag.

Let's get started

Sew the fabric that will hold the straps to the main fabric with a
0.5cm(1/4") seam allowance on both ends.

Fold the fabric to be used as the cross strap into quarters
and sew with a 0.2 cm(1/16") seam allowance.

Sew both sides of the outer and inner fabric with a 1cm(3/8") seam allowance.

Sew with a 1cm(3/8") seam allowance, excluding the opening

Fold the bottom twice and sew 5cm(2").

Cut the seam, leaving a 1cm(3/8") seam allowance.

Sew the window hole with a 0.2 cm(3/8") seam allowance.

You can make it!!
